 Hey Paw Family! I hope everyone is doing well on this fine Saturday afternoon. It is time for the next blog post! I'm a little worried about this one, but it is a common question we get asked in the store and I know it can be a bit divisive with opinions all over the place. So, I want to tackle this one, and let data lead the way in this discussion.  Let's talk about Grain-Free dog food vs. Grain-Inclusive dog food, and DCM (Dilapidated Cardio Myopathy) that looms over this discussion.  First , what is the difference between Grain-Free and Grain-Inclusive dog food? The names are pretty self explanatory, one includes grains such as rice, oats, barley, etc.. The other uses non grains such chickpeas, lentils, quinoa, etc..  Ok, that's all well and good, but what does it mean, who cares? Well, there are a few reasons these exist.  1.   The Dogs Meet Harley, Joker, and Robin. The three most spoiled dogs on the planet, or at least their parents think so. You may have seen them here at the shop if they were doing their greeting job properly. They don't meet new people as none of them know a stranger. They are the reason that Paw of the Family exists.  The Parents Our names, if you haven't met us yet, are Jessica and Ryan Meeks. We own Paw of the Family, we live locally here in Anna and absolutely love this community. We moved from Mckinney to Anna in early 2021 and quickly figured out that we were driving back to Mckinney all the time for good quality pet supplies (I believe we mentioned already how spoiled the pups are). These dogs have a special place in our hearts, we learned back in 2019 that we cannot have kids ourselves. After dwelling on that for a bit, we decided that the best option for us was a puppy.
